The mission of our Prayer Shawl and Lap Robe Ministry is to show God’s love in a tangible way to those who are hurting.
As the Prayer Shawl (for women) or Lap Robe (for men or couples) is being stitched, the recipient is lifted up in prayer that God will help them with whatever struggle they are facing. It is our prayer that when they wrap themselves in it, they will feel God’s abiding presence and that it will be a tangible reminder of God’s love.

How Can I Help?
Knit, crochet, or quilt a lap robe or prayer shawl. Knit or crochet 9” x 6” rectangle blocks that will be put together to form lap robes (email us for guidelines ) Join us at our next meeting! Donate yarn or money to purchase yarn, bags, cardstock and inkVolunteer to deliver a prayer shawl. Pray for us that God will bless our ministry, bring to our attention the people that should receive the shawls, and that He will allow us to use our gifts to His glory.
*The Handmade Afghan Project Group knits and crochets 6”x9” rectangles that are made into afghans to be sent to wounded soldiers. Their website contains several good patterns for the rectangles.
