ABOUT FUSION 2011
Our theme verse for FUSION 2011 is Psalm 139.7-10: “(God) Where can I go from Your presence?” In other words, is there anywhere we can go that God is not there? To try and illustrate this point, we will focus each day of FUSION on a different place in our universe. We will look at Planet Earth, the Seas, the Heavens, and other places that will highlight how big and awesome our God truly is! We will have fun activities and crafts/projects. We will sing, pray, and serve together with our friends both old and new. Check our our schedule below, then scroll down to register!
purpose
“Why do stars shine?” Inside all active stars, including the nearest star to Earth which we call the Sun, an ongoing process called thermonuclear FUSION is occurring. When 2 or more distinct hydrogen atoms collide and then combine or FUSE together, it releases enormous amounts of energy, heat, and light. Scientifically speaking, that is why a star shines! In other words, when things collide and fuse together, lots of light is produced.
Did you know that God’s Word, the Bible describes each of us as being like a star? Philippians 2.15-16 says: “You will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life.” The combining, or FUSION, of our lives with God’s word, changes us forever. If we hold on tightly to God, then our lives will shine like stars as we are examples and an encouragement to others. The goal of FUSION Daycamps is to help children, ages Kindergarten - 6th grade to hold on to the Word of life so they shine like stars for Jesus.
Fusion builds on the traditions of Antioch Christian Daycamp (ACDC), which was started by Greg Adams about 15 years ago. You will recognize some of the same activities from the past as well as lots of exciting new events. We have separated the events into age-appropriate activities for two groups — K-3rd and 4th-6th. Most days will be spent here on the church campus, but a few activities will be offsite.

WHO: Must be 6 years old by the day of the event and not older than those who have just finished 6th grade.
WHAT/WHERE: Antioch Church of Christ, 2142 Antioch Pike, Antioch, TN 37013. In some instances we will travel to other locations. Events subject to change due to weather. Some events have limited capacity, i.e. Bounce U, so register ASAP!
WHEN: Please do not drop off more than 10 minutes early and please pick up on time. Drop off time is 10:00 am and pick up time is 2:00 pm.
COST: Cost will vary each camp day according to the day's activities. Your child should bring a sack lunch and drink each day unless the activity includes lunch, i.e. Chuck E. Cheese. Your payment should be made when you arrive.
