The classroom areas in the education building are being restructured to help us to better minister to our kids. The Children’s Ministry will begin a new Sunday AM strategy in January 2012 that will require a mix of bigger/smaller rooms different than what the kids’ classes currently have access to. We also desire to have a more secure dedicated area that can be monitored with checkin/checkout. A dedicated area would allow decorating the entire area thematically and in a way that would be attractive to our children and visitors. A "before and after" classroom map is included at the bottom of the page. The children's area is yellow and the adult area is blue.

In order to make this happen, the children’s classrooms that are on the Main Hallway in the classroom wing will be swapped with the adult classrooms that are on the West Wing of the “T”. This will require some of the Sunday AM Adult Classes to change classrooms. Thanks to the following classes for making this sacrifice and already agreeing to help out in that way: Grace, Joy, Agape, Estudio Biblico, and Good Soil! These moves will also free up the College Group to move out of the foyer and into their own classroom!

These new class areas will be experiencing an “extreme makeover” for 3 weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Additional facelift projects are scheduled for the Preschool area next year. We will need help cleaning, moving, painting, feeding, etc. This cannot be done in this short period of time unless we all work together. I know there is never “a good time” for a big project like this but what a great way to begin the holidays – by giving our children this gift!
